Resonate DJ Controller Concept from Vibhas Jain on Vimeo

"LandepNews"
The RSON8 is a touchscreen controller for aspiring DJ’s, talent required, although it does make mixing music a lot easier for noobs. The device has grooves where digital buttons appear allowing one to augment track(s) and levels. The screen also uses next generation tactile feedback substrates so you can literally feel the sliders. And if you’re still scratching your head as to how to pronounce it, try “resonate”. Hit the jump for a video.

powered light balls Designer: Yang Wonmo

"LandepNews"
Fully Precious Beans are ambient solar-powered light balls, intended to be a playful fun accessory to your interiors. For most part of 2011, I focused on serious designs, ones with a purpose in life. However I think 2012 is the year to unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures in life…a time to have fun with green glow balls that enjoy sunlight as much as I do!

Designers: Lo Li-Te, Tai-Yen Lee, Cheng-Yu, Tsai Zong-Huei & Hsu Song-Jung Chen

"LandepNews"
The Urban Hotel is a very well thought-out solar-powered ‘green’ hotel. It features rainwater recycling system and a bicycle in each room, to help visitors explore the city. Now the cool thing here is that there is a specific slot in the room to place the bike and you can use it as an exercise cycle. Stored kinetic energy from it gets converted to electricity and helps power small gadgets and lights. If you get enthusiastic enough, for all you know, you could end up renting the room for free! Apparently all your pedaled miles get converted to energy savings and can be redeemed against the room rent. Sweet!

The CookDial Designers: Seungin Lee, Junsang Kim, Yonggu Do & Kyungmin Min

"LandepNews"
The CookDial is a pot with a timer dial at the end of its handle. You can leave a pot of water to boil, set the timer and multitask with other kitchen work, instead of keeping a watchful eye. A distinctive ‘Ding!’ goes off when time’s up, and I think it can be a useful when I make my tea!

The Succulent is a 2011 Liteon Award entry. Designer: Yu-ru Chen

"LandepNews"
Apparently plastic bags are a resourceful means to collect morning dew and many mountaineers use it to collect water. Needless to say, not all climbers are conscientious enough to carry back their litter, and as a result many of our peaks are getting polluted. To offer a better alternative, we have here the Succulent Concept, a mock up of a succulent plants. It helps collect and filter in the morning dew, directly into a bottle and is easily portable.
