Rock en Seine, the annual rock festival taking place late August is being held in the city of Paris this weekend, from August 26 to August 28, 2011. The outdoors venue for the event will be the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud – Centre des Monuments Nationaux located in the Ile-de-France district.

The latest and most popular figures of the international rock music stage will be performing at this concert in Paris. Some of the established names featured will be Arctic Monkeys, Keren Ann and Archive. There will also be room for new rock talents, among which you will be listening to Hushpuppies, Cage the Elephant and Jamaica. There will also be what the festival describes as “pure-gold rockers”, those whose names are and will always be part of the history of rock music. In this case, the pure-gold category features the Foo Fighters.

For those who still feel like partying after a whole day and night of rock music, the 2011 program for Rock en Seine includes also an electro trend with names like Death in Vegas and Etienne de Crecy. So you can take it for granted, there will be a great atmosphere!

The rock music festival will be held during the three mentioned days: Friday, August 26 to Sunday, August 28, starting every day at 3pm. If you are interested in acquiring festival tickets, you can get a day pass for €49. If you are able to attend all three days, you can buy a three-day pass for €109.
