Carla Bruni gives birth to baby girl
Although the family wanted to keep this in secret, Bruni has revealed the information today while speaking to reporters. The French president, who is at his third marriage, said that the name of the new born would be revealed by his wife. Sarkozy has thus become father of four children. The 56 year old has three other children from the previous two marriages, while Carl Bruni is at her second child.
Said the president: “All of you who are parents can understand the very deep joy that Carla and I feel. Each one of you can also understand that it’s an even deeper joy because it is private… We have been lucky to have a very happy event take place.”
Sarkozy was in Frankfurt on Wednesday morning where he met several German officials in order to find solutions for the euro zone crisis. His father, Pal Sarkozy, also looked ‘thrilled’ to have a 14th grandchild, confirming at the same time that Carla Bruni is doing very well at the moment.
According to reports, her husband visited her on Wednesday evening at the maternity clinic though the family-minded were ready to criticize his absence. This is also Bruni and Sarkozy’s first child together, her name being expected to be revealed this month.
