Set DNS app Android phone

If Internet on your Android phone is slow and access to marketplace, downloading apps and opening attachment is taking lot of time, its time you update your DNS entry for your phone using the Set DNS app. It was recently reported that Android Market ( Even I experienced it a lot of time ) was very slow and primary reason for this is  DNS resolution delay.

This application lets you

• Choose and update DNS record using  Google, Open DNS, Fool DNS,  Open DNS Family Shield or you can opt for custom DNS .
• If you are very happy using this either you can use DHCP  option to revert back to default settings.
• The option for Open DNS Family Shield is very useful if you want to keep your kids off  the adult content.
• Supports Proxy detection which is useful if you are behind one and want to bypass and use your own DNS instead of Proxy overriding your DNS settings.

The application works on both rooted and non rooted device but you are limited to a trail version of 24 hours to see how it goes on your phone.  The developer reports that it breaks the market for Non Rooted Phone so if you are using this make sure to report back so a solution can be found.
