One of the most successful actors in Bollywood Akshay Kumar has today turned 44 and is still the most happening actors in the industry. From the Khiladi movies to the TV series Khatron Ke Khiladi, the actor has gone through a long journey to make a mark in Bollywood.
Akshay was born as Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia in a middle class family in Punjab. The actor had earlier worked as a waiter in Bangkok and had also learnt martial arts.
One day one of the students of Rajiv had recommended the actor to take up modeling and this is when he had started his journey as Akshay Kumar. The new name had truly worked for him and had since then known by this name.
Akshay did not have any launching pad in the form of star parents and had slowly risen to fame with the help of his own struggle. Initially, his films did not work very well at the box office, but with time the actor kept patience and improved his acting skills and today is counted among the most successful stars.
