At a crucial time when Shahrukh Khan’s most ambitious movie ‘Ra.One’ is on the verge of release, a TV producer has alleged of plagiarism on the movie. Producer Yash Patnaik, has dragged the case to the Bombay High Court claiming that he has the copyright of the concept and the content of ‘Ra.One’.
Yash has claimed a stay on the release of the film unless he is given the credit. The TV producer has also added that if he is not given the credit then the makers have to give him ten percent from the profits of the movie.
According to Ranvindra Kadam, who is the lawyer of Patnaik, the hero in the film resembles the character sketched by Patnaik in the year 2006. The villain in Patnaik’s script was known as ‘One’, which has now been copied by Shahrukh for his movie.
However, Virendra Tulzapurkar, the lawyer of Shahrukh had said that the TV producer cannot clam the copyright on the concept as it is the work of the creative team hired by him.
