Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in London 2012

"LandepNews"
Would you like to be part of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in London 2012? If you have a lot of energy and like to sing, dance, play drums, perform or participate in one way or another, you can apply to volunteer to participate in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2012 London Paralympic Games to be held this summer.
The search, conducted by the London Organising Committee 2012 (LOCOG) will be extended until the 13th of February. During this period, interested parties can apply by filling out an online application form.
This is a unique opportunity: those chosen will be able to perform in front of a packed stadium, and will be seen by the rest of the world by the broadcasting of the event in international media. Artistic Directors Bradley Hemmings, Jenny Sealeyand Kim Gavin seek for 5000 enthusiastic and energetic volunteers who can perform as dancers, actors, percussionists and other performances in general.

What conditions must I fulfill to participate?

Jenny Sealey explains, “anyone with a positive attitude, huge amounts of energy and a willingness to perform in front of a stadium audience and to millions of people around the world should get onto the London 2012 website now and sign up.”
Those chosen should be able to participate in up to two auditions in February and March, up to three testing sessions each week since June, and a number of full-day trials in the three weeks prior to each ceremony. All of these trials will take place in East London.
According to Kim Gavin, “for the Paralympic Ceremonies we’ll audition around 8,000 people to get our 5,000 Volunteer Performers. This is a great opportunity to take part in what will be the grand finale of the entire Games.”
To be elected, the applicants must be 18 or older as of March 1st, 2012. Only one application will be accepted per person. If LOCOG would receive more than 8.000 applications, a computerized drawing will be used to create a random list of up to 8.000 people to be called for auditions. Good luck!
