Oakland stun Yankees in New York
New York are on the edge of losing the leading position as the East leaders were downed by Oakland 5-6 last night at the Yankee Stadium to allow Red Sox go right behind them.

Texas Rangers 5 – 11 Boston Red Sox
Boston thwarted Rangers last night at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington where the hosts were stunned with a strong start which saw Red Sox score six points in a row without conceding any. Gonzalez opened the meeting with a 421 foot homerun, being followed by Ellsbury who doubled the lead as just.

San Francisco Giants 5 – 7 San Diego Padres
Padres stunned Giants last night at the AT&T Park where the visitors grabbed a clear win thanks to an early rally which saw them go four points ahead of their opponents after three innings. Guzman singled to left as Bartlett brought the first lead for Padres in the opening term.
Blanks, who fired a 379 foot homerun, and Hudson then made it three, while Venable ended the early run, scoring a fourth point after Maybin singled to left.
