Some bad things do come from Apple you know, even amongst the pseudo-mythical branding they’ve got lodged in to the human races brain. Yep, Apple has once again spread some light on how they hate competitors creating slightly similar products to theirs, after the German government has banned the newly announced Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 from stores. This news comes after Friday in which a court in Dusseldorf banned Samsung from selling its new Galaxy Tab 7.7 in Germany.
This court injunction against good old Sammy means that the company, who has gotten real close to offering a premium sub brand name close to the premium of Apple in the name of ‘Galaxy’, cannot present their brand spanking new device at the IFA 2011 electronics fair in Berlin. The fair is used by manufacturers across the globe to showcase their latest innovations to consumer markets, and this news means that in Germany at least Apple’s iPad will retain market share.
Amazingly, the product recently banned in Germany has a screen size 2 inches smaller than the iPad 2 and carries across completely different dimensions, as well as logo placement (see image created above).
